Learn English Grammar
The most important thing in any
language or dialect is to get the grammar right. Figure of speech,
verbs, nouns, consonants are some of the topics under grammar. We
master the fluency which is possible with a concentrated method of
hearing correct English, speaking with the right people and
comprehending the terms of grammar. English is a global language and in
many countries it is adopted as a second language. Whether it is job
seeking, letter writing or education we need to learn the English and the grammar
accurately.
Whether you enroll in a English speaking course or refer the English
speaking dictionary, learning grammar involves an exercise. Mere
mugging up a verb and consonant will not do as it has to be
comprehended and correctly applied.
He/She/It is the gender bifurcation in English which resembles
masculine/feminine and neutral gender. Neutral gender represents non
living things like a table, trolley or a machine. An interesting topic in English grammar is the Figure of speech. Simile examples are "like a rose", " As hard as a nail" or when we say
that "Life is like an onion". The similarity is comparison to life like
an onion with an underlying meaning of teary emotions. Onomatopoeia
refers to the ‘buzz' of a bee, ‘oinking ‘of a pig and ‘creaking' of a
chair. One can exaggerate with a Hyperbole like mountains out of
molehills. ‘In the arctic the polar bears wear woolens', is a perfect
exaggeration which expresses the cold unbearable temperature there.
Adjectives are descriptive. Clever, witty, cruel, dispassionate
all refer to adjectives that qualify a noun. They give more meaning to
the noun. ‘The teacher is strict' means it qualifies or
mentions the quality of the teacher. Nouns are classified into Proper
noun, Common noun, Concrete noun, countable, uncountable nouns,
abstract nouns and collective nouns. Verbs are actions like to hear, to
read, to speak, to write and to understand English grammar. One needs
to understand about Verb Phrase and Verb Tense too. Words that
substitute a noun are ‘pronouns'.
The glossary of English grammar is exhaustive and it is an
enriching experience to know and retain in our memory the little
intonations, vowels, article, auxiliary, interjections, interrogation
and rhetoric's, subject-predicate and a conjunction.
