The Queens language is universal. India with its
versatility has about 22 regional languages and 250 other spoken
languages or dialects. Western influence was already felt in India
during the British regime and most of our freedom fighters did their
studies abroad with reputed institutes. Respect to our mother tongue is
essential but for a global standing, English is essential in writing as
well as speaking.
Even if one is convent educated one needs to improve on the vocabulary.
A toddler learns about 10 new words each day. Actually the childhood
inception stage is perfect for new learning as the brain is stimulated
at the bud stage and absorption at this level is high. Later is the
individual talent to retain and interest generates to add on more new
words while speaking.
There is much good news to all people willing to learn the
English language and that seems easy with a plethora of learning
schools that not only teach you the basics but also hone you towards
speaking English fluently.
English speaking in India comes with a different accent in each part of the country. The standardization can be got by listening to speeches and also watching public speakers use the styles in speaking. Firstly one should have a strong attitude and a determination to accept the challenges ahead. Many times it is natural that we do not get the pronunciation right,
possibly because we haven't heard it before or else our interaction
with good English speakers in less.
